The Bite of Oregon: 1st weekend in August



Welcome to another year of The Chef's Table at the Bite of Oregon. Each year we run, cook, present, showcase talent, invitie celebrity chefs, oh and cook thousands of meals for The Chefs Table all to help raise money for Special Olympics Oregon. Chefs, students, purveyors, manufacturers, farmers, ranchers, and folks who just like food come out and help us put this on. We need your help to make this happen. In past years, volunteers receive two free passes for the weekend to the bite as well as two free meal tickets! In addition volunteers in the past have received schwag from the Bite such as a Bite of Oregon t-shirt, a Blueberry commission apron and free sterile non latex gloves to wear. Sign up, show up and see what you might get this year and you can look cool too like this student volunteer from Le Cordon Bleu!


Of course we couldn't do it without community members, student volunteers and friends who all help put this event on like this LCB student!


This was our 2015 layout of our kitchen setup. Every yellow circle above represents a place where you can help out at the bite. Some folks help with the prep in the back of the kitchen, others are cooking. Some folks are runners bringing foodstuff as it's prepared to the front while others serve or collect tickets. Everyone can help!
